If you are looking for a scenic hike, there are many trails that traverse the steep hillside here and take hikers from Ravello down to Pontone and eventually to the coastal communities of Amalfi and Atrani. One of our favorite trails is Sentiero degli Dei, that links the tiny hill top town of Agerola with the hamlet of Nocelle, nestled on the slopes of Mt. Peruso. The name of the footpath, the Gods' Pathway, is an indication of the spectacular scenery en route, a gentle downhill one, with magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri. If you are a professional hiker you should continue to Montepertuso or Positano. Another interesting trail is the Sentiero Baia Pelara in Panza, on Ischia's west coast. Ischia is a jewel of many facets. In every corner of this paradise we can enjoy beautiful scenery and rediscover nature in all its glory. We start from the village of Panza down to the scenic bay of Pelara with its rocky beach, passing by a vineyard and the woods, home of scented wildflowers and butterflies as well as a hermit's cave that you'll no doubt want to have a peek into. As we leave the woods we enter the top of a valley with a rope fence that leads us down to the marvelous bay at the end of the sentiero.
